I really like the design of the inspiration picture which was found from the internet. It looks like a real world design. Also, it was composited well which looks professional.

I used the black and white contrast for the whole double spread which also consists of the editor note. The font for the titles was Dm serif display, which was in half white and half black color. The background color was choosed in contrast of the half text color. Than I used rectangle tool to draw the outer lines of the box by using the stroke option. The box in the middle was in grey color which follows the black and white idea of the double spread. The numbers indicated for pages was in "DM serif display" which looks stylish and modern so I picked this font for numbers. The heading indicated by numbers so in "Poppin extra bold" and their description in "Poppin medium" to make a contrast of text.
REJECTED CONTENT PAGES

I used the red and blue palette for the content page design prior to the final one.

This design does not look up to the mark as the boxes were too big and there was little space for the description

Note: Some of the fonts like "Monotype corsiva" and "Rockway Condensed" are originally installed in Photoshop CS6 version, so it is recommended to open the photoshop files in this version only.
